At Newton Youth Baseball Little League, we believe that every child should have the chance to step up to the plate. Baseball is more than just a game; it’s a community. It’s the joy of catching a pop fly under the summer sun, the pride of rounding the bases, and the friendships forged in the dugout.

To help share that love of the game with every young athlete in Newton, Iowa, we are thrilled to announce the creation of our Cardinal Baseball Equipment Closet.

Share Your Love for the Game

Do you have a bat, glove, or pair of cleats sitting in the garage that your child has outgrown? Perhaps a gently used pair of baseball pants or a helmet that is no longer needed? We are asking for your help to fill our equipment closet with these essential items.

By donating your gently used equipment, you aren’t just cleaning out your garage—you are handing the love of baseball down to the next generation of Cardinals. You are giving another child the opportunity to experience the crack of the bat and the thrill of the game.

Making Baseball Accessible for All

We know that the cost of equipment can sometimes be a barrier to entry. Our goal is to remove that hurdle. The Cardinal Baseball Equipment Closet will help us ensure that any child who wants to play can play, regardless of financial circumstances. By making equipment accessible and affordable, we are strengthening our league, building up our community, and ensuring that every kid has the tools they need to succeed on the field.

How You Can Help

We are currently collecting donations of gently used baseball equipment, including:

• Bats

• Gloves

• Cleats

• Pants

• Helmets

• Catcher’s gear

In Need of Equipment?

If your player is in need of equipment, we are here to help! Please reach out to our Vice President at the email address above to make a request. To ensure our resources support our local players, your child will need to be an active participant in the Newton Youth Baseball Little League program. This means they must be signed up for one of our recent programs, such as a free clinic, the Pitch, Hit & Run competition, or the current Little League season.
